Privacy

SpeakerHQ does not require an account, does not set first-party tracking cookies, and does not store your quiz answers in a database. Three third parties may see aggregate, non-identifying data about your visit: our hosting provider (Vercel), Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights. Clicking through to Amazon hands you off to Amazon’s own tracking, which is governed by Amazon’s privacy policy - not ours.

Nothing that identifies you personally. We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, payment information, or contact details. There is no signup form, no login, no newsletter.

Quiz answers are stored in the URL only. When you finish the quiz, your answers are encoded into the query string of the result URL (for example, ?r=q1=wedding-corporate;q2=150-300...). That URL never leaves your browser unless you share it. We do not save it on our servers.

The site runs on Vercel. Like every internet host, Vercel processes standard server logs when you load a page - your IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, requested path, response status, and timestamp. Vercel uses these logs for security, abuse prevention, and operational diagnostics, and retains them per Vercel’s own retention schedule. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details.

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and understand which pages people visit. It is cookieless: no first-party or third-party cookies are set in your browser by this analytics tool. It does not fingerprint your browser, does not build a user profile, and does not track you across other sites. It records aggregate counts and general geolocation (country / region only, derived from IP and then discarded).

We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load for real visitors (Core Web Vitals). It is also cookieless and does not identify you. It measures performance metrics - Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint, Cumulative Layout Shift - and reports them in aggregate so we can fix slow pages.

Every product link on this site goes through an internal redirect (/go/<slug>) and out to Amazon. Once you land on Amazon, you are subject to Amazon’s privacy policy, cookies, and tracking - not ours. Amazon uses cookies to attribute your purchase to our affiliate tag (gear-match-20), which is how we earn a commission if you buy. We never see your Amazon account, your shopping cart, or your purchase total.

SpeakerHQ does not set any cookies in your browser. We do not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB for tracking. The quiz progresses by URL state only, so you can refresh, share, or bookmark a result without anything being persisted on this server.

Because we do not collect or store personal data, most data-subject rights (access, deletion, portability) are satisfied automatically - there is nothing on our servers tied to you. For Vercel-held logs, contact Vercel directly per their privacy policy. For your Amazon-side data, contact Amazon.

SpeakerHQ is intended for adult mobile DJs and PA-system buyers. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has somehow interacted with this site, contact us (below) and we will help you confirm nothing is retained.
