Privacy
What SpeakerHQ collects, what it does not, and which third parties see your visit. Short, plain English, no dark patterns.
The short version
SpeakerHQ does not require an account and does not store your quiz answers in a database. A few third parties may see data about your visit: our hosting provider (Vercel), Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights (both cookieless), and Google Analytics 4 + Google Ads, which set their own cookies so we can measure traffic and whether our ads work. Clicking an Amazon link then hands you off to Amazon’s own tracking, governed by Amazon’s privacy policy - not ours.
What we collect directly
Nothing that identifies you personally. We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, payment information, or contact details. There is no signup form, no login, no newsletter.
Quiz answers are stored in the URL only. When you finish the quiz, your answers are encoded into the query string of the result URL (for example, ?r=q1=wedding-corporate;q2=150-300...). That URL never leaves your browser unless you share it. We do not save it on our servers.
What our hosting provider sees (Vercel)
The site runs on Vercel. Like every internet host, Vercel processes standard server logs when you load a page - your IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, requested path, response status, and timestamp. Vercel uses these logs for security, abuse prevention, and operational diagnostics, and retains them per Vercel’s own retention schedule. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details.
Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site, and Google Ads to measure whether our advertising works. Google’s tag sets first-party cookies in your browser (for example _ga and _gcl) to count visits, recognise returning visitors, and attribute a buy-button click to an ad campaign. We see only aggregate, pseudonymous data - never your name or payment details. You can review how Google uses this data and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Affiliate links and clicking through to Amazon
SpeakerHQ is an Amazon Associate. Our buy buttons are plain links to Amazon with our Associates tracking ID added as a URL parameter (?tag=). There is no third-party affiliate script that rewrites the links in your browser (unlike some affiliate networks). When you click through and buy, Amazon sets its own cookies on amazon.com and uses them to attribute the purchase to us - that is how we earn a commission. Once you land on Amazon, you are subject to Amazon’s own privacy policy, cookies, and tracking - not ours. We never see your Amazon account, your shopping cart, or your purchase total.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
We do not collect or store personal data on our servers, so most data-subject rights (access, deletion, portability) are satisfied automatically on our side. For data held by our third parties, exercise your rights with them directly: Vercel for server logs and analytics, Google for GA4 and Google Ads data, and Amazon for any purchase data after you click through to amazon.com.
Children
SpeakerHQ is intended for adult mobile DJs and PA-system buyers. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has somehow interacted with this site, contact us (below) and we will help you confirm nothing is retained.
